Personally Blackfriars has always been a place close to my heart. It was here I learnt to dance and act and as a child, growing up I relished to be here. Lots of youth still love to come here as there is so much to do. It is open all days of the week. Blackfriars has provided space for wheelchairs and made sure they have disability access everywhere.
The facilities are a foyer gallery where you can there is seating, a box office, and a place to buy food, drinks and merchandise. It has an upstairs bar that is open Monday-Saturday between 8:30pm and 11pm. The main attraction is the theatre which seats 224 people.
Different events are always held at Blackfriars there has been things like: Plays performed by the acting groups there, dance shows, Vienna ballet shows, singing performances, variety performance, festivals, competitions, charity events, fund raisers, art exhibitions.
One of the main things youth is attracted to at Blackfriars is Blackfriars Theatre Academy (Harlequin) they hold a summer school and weekly musical theatre classes. Where they can learn to sing dance and act. They usually do plays like Cinderella or Peter Pan so that it suits all ages.
Here is a poster for the Blackfriars Theatre Academy:

Techniques
Some of the techniques I will be using in this blog are: scanning, file transfer, file formatting, uploading materials, imported materials, sourced materials, stored materials from different documents.
Scanning is storing a product (a picture, poster) digitally so you can't lose it, I can show this by scanning a poster for a place that I will talk about.
File transfer is an act of transmitting files between computers over the internet.
File formatting is the form of which you store specific types of information digitally. I shall do this by making sure I have a backup of my work and publishing it to this blog.
Uploading materials is when you post your content and work or pictures on a social media network or a blog.
Imported materials are materials or data received to one programme from another.
Sourced materials are original or basic materials used in research.
Stored materials are materials saved or stored in a certain way so that you can access it later.

Research-Generated Materials
Generated Materials
Generated materials are usually created by digital products, whether it be a camera or computer. Materials made by digital products include: photographs, videos, audio, text and graphics.
Photos
Photographs are images taken by cameras, they tend to have a main focus or theme, which could be a person, place or object. They are produced by the image being focused onto a light sensitive material, they are then made visible and permanent with chemical treatment or are stored digitally. They can be used for anything: art, education/school, social media, apps or games.
Videos
A video is initially a moving image on an electronic device. This can also be used for anything, TV &films, radio broadcasting, social media. It is very popular among people on social media, specifically teenagers (target audience,) as one video can make anybody go viral within seconds. A video can be informative, educational, humorous, inspirational, singing, dancing, showcasing any talents. It can be digitally produced, animated and live action. When videos first came upon the world, they were in black and white, with low sound and the rate of editing was not high, nowadays you can add any sounds you want, things are in colour and editing is made to look real life.
