Blackfriars Theatre and Arts Centre

Personally Blackfriars has always been a place close to my heart. It was here I learnt to dance and act and as a child, growing up I relished to be here. Lots of youth still love to come here as there is so much to do. It is open all days of the week. Blackfriars has provided space for wheelchairs and made sure they have disability access everywhere.

The facilities are a foyer gallery where you can there is seating, a box office, and a place to buy food, drinks and merchandise. It has an upstairs bar that is open Monday-Saturday between 8:30pm and 11pm. The main attraction is the theatre which seats 224 people.
Different events are always held at Blackfriars there has been things like: Plays performed by the acting groups there, dance shows, Vienna ballet shows, singing performances, variety performance, festivals, competitions, charity events, fund raisers, art exhibitions.
One of the main things youth is attracted to at Blackfriars is Blackfriars Theatre Academy (Harlequin) they hold a summer school and weekly musical theatre classes. Where they can learn to sing dance and act. They usually do plays like Cinderella or Peter Pan so that it suits all ages.
